The Widow's Walk was constructed in 1998 to be an ice creamery. The previous owners, Bryan and Jerry Fraley, purchased the property in 2006 and then sold it to Jill Dodson in October 2016. We serve many of your favorite ice cream cones, milk shakes, sundaes, banana splits and anything else that you might want us to create for you! As long as it's on our menu or we have the ingredients, then we can do it!
A friend of Bryan and Jerry's (and former owner), designed the home combining architectural elements from classic Victorian homes on the East coast and the Hemingway home in Key West Florida. The home now includes a private residence on the top floors, and The Widow's Brew Coffee Shop, which is located on the main floor of the home.
We offer seasonal walk-up window service outside at the ice cream building at the back of the house during the Spring, Summer and early Fall months. We've been told many times that we have the best ice cream in Louisville, Kentucky and in Kentuckiana! Thanks so much to all of you for making our business a success. We hope that you will feel free to enjoy our beautiful courtyards, and porch while enjoying your favorite ice cream, and while making memories that will last a lifetime!.
You can ride our bikes to the Falls of the Ohio State Park, to the George Rogers Clark Homesite, to the Howard Steamboat Museum, to all of the great shops on Spring Street in Jeffersonville, Indiana, and now you are able to bike across the Ohio River on the Big Four Pedestrian Bridge and enjoy Louisville, Kentucky's waterfront parks. All bicycle rentals must be returned by dark.
